The Super Bowl: Haymaker Fight
Only eighteen seconds away from the end of super bowl XLIX, until the fight breaks out.
Follow by the late interception by Russell Wilson in the patriot’s end zone. Then patriots move
up to the 6-yard line where Tom Brady takes a knee. Then the Haymaker fight breaks out.
If Rob Gronkowski sees a ball, he catches it. If he sees an opponent, he runs through him. If
he sees a cow, he eats it. And if he sees a fight on-field, he starts throwing punches. Appearing
on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gronkowski reflected on the melee that came in the dying moments of
the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl victory over the Seattle Seahawks. “I got pushed or
something, and it was the last game of the year, and I was like, ‘Screw it, I’m throwing some
haymakers,’” Gronkowski told Kimmel on Monday night. On Sunday night, Gronkowski said he
bore no ill will over the fight. “It’s football, things happen. It’s all good. They played ball, they’re
a hardworking team, and we just came out and did what we did to get
the win.”
